ARTE will broadcast this evening (20.50 PM Paris Time) live from the Berlin Film Festival the newly restored edition of Metropolis by Fritz Lang.For this newly restored version 27 minutes of unissued film were used coming from a collector in South America.
The film will be shown in avant premiere accompanied by live music brought by Rundfunk Sinfonieorchester Berlin.
Afterwards ARTE will broadcast a documentary on the restauration of Metropolis, the first film registered by UNESCO.
