Cannonball Adderley Interview, 1969 - Part 1

This is the first part of a recorded interview that jazz writer Chris Albertson did with Cannonball Adderley in November, 1969. The interview was done for an article in Downbeat magazine that finally appeared in 1970.
This is the raw interview and it finishes rather abruptly.
Second part of the interview to follow soon.

Thelonious Monk page

I just added a Thelonious Monk page (all the different pages can be found right on top of the blog just under the title) dedicated to the pianomaster and uploaded a flyer of a concert he gave in the Koningin Elisabethzaal, Antwerp on February 29, 1964. The concert is not mentioned in Robin Kelley's excellent biography.

Laurent Fignon R.I.P.

Laurent Fignon passed away today at age 50. Although it was widely known he was ill since last year his passing comes still as a surprise. He delivered fine commentary on last Tour de France and will be sorely missed.

Blog updates

I added two more interesting blogs to the 'Share the Music' links and I discovered I could add 'pages' to my blog. This is very usefull since it allows me to post stuff which can be used as research material.

So i added three pages up till now. As you can see some are still under construction but I can already confirm they will mostly contain jazz stuff as for example discographies etc...

Check them out and stay tuned!
